Craft
Built on tradition, refined for permanence.
Our manufacturing partner has been producing footwear since 1967. Decades of experience shape every decision, from material selection to construction.
Goodyear Construction
Every pair of Black Wave boots is made using Goodyear welt construction, one of the most durable methods in footwear.
Unlike glued or directly stitched soles, this process uses a leather welt that runs around the perimeter of the boot. The upper is stitched to the welt, and the sole is then stitched to it separately.
This creates a sealed structure with no direct stitching into the interior, helping prevent water from entering while significantly increasing durability.
It also allows the sole to be replaced over time without damaging the upper. The result is a boot that can be worn, repaired, and worn again.
Built to Adapt
Inside each boot, a layer of cork sits between the sole and the insole.
With wear, this cork gradually compresses and shapes itself to your foot. Over time, the boot becomes uniquely yours, improving comfort without sacrificing structure.
The same layer provides natural insulation and absorbs impact with each step.
Made by Hand
Each pair is crafted through a highly manual process, passing through more than 100 hands before completion.
This is not mass production. It is controlled, deliberate work where each stage matters.
Materials
All materials are sourced within Europe and selected for durability, aging characteristics, and consistency.
We choose components that hold their form, develop character, and resist breakdown over time.
This is not just footwear.
It is a constructed object, built to last.
